Green Arrow and Black Canary 6 by Superchica Green Arrow and Black Canary 6 by Superchica
Oct 10th 2007- This day marks the release of Green Arrow/Black Canary #1, the couple's first ever duo titled comic since their first appearances in 1941 (Green Arrow in More Fun Comics #73), and 1947 (Black Canary in Flash Comics #86). The two lovebirds have remained an item since Black Canary's enrollment in the Justice League in Justice League of America #75 in 1969. Needless to say a marriage between the two superheroes was long overdue. Carly Spade and Chasen Grieshop of Particle 9 Productions (P9P) deemed such an event was worthy of honor. Recently while in downtown Orlando, Florida, P9P conducted a photoshoot featuring Carly Spade as Black Canary, and Mike Kalinowski as Green Arrow with photography by Chasen Grieshop. The breathtaking results of said photoshoot have been released on this momentous day for the public's viewing pleasure.

I've never liked Smallville's version for Green Arrow (he looks more like a character from Mortal Kombat than the legendary DC hero). I prefer the new version in the Arrow TV show.

But that Black Canary looks beyond gorgeous! It is a great cosplay! I totally love her! :D

Well the Arrow tv show was 6 years away from existence when we did that shoot so, lol. But I agree, and thank you for compliments on my BC cosplay :)

Well, of course i am not saying that his costume is ugly, and as a tribute cosplay is really good and well made version. It just doesn't feel like the character from the comic.

In any case, I hope to see more cosplays made by you! You rock! :D

Funny that your nickname is Supergirl in spanish :P

Haha I do completely agree with you. Thank you I will definitely try to do more! Haha yes the Superchica thing has been an ongoing nickname since the first day I ever joined a comic book forum and Supergirl was I thought of another word for girl and Chica came to mind, it has been apart of my nerdom where ever I go now, including in my xbox gamertag lol. But then every thinks that I am hispanic and i am not...I am extremely european in decent lol.

Interesting! Yeah, at first I thought you were hispanic (many hispanic people are also of european descent and don't look very different from you :P), but then I saw that your name was Carly Spade, which is why I thought it was curious that you were using a spanish name :)

Glad about your nerdom, that makes you even cooler! I am more of a PS3 fan though :P

Well, looking forward to see more of you, and of course, Happy Holidays! :D

You are fantastic personifying Black Canary. I hope that your costume should not have made you feel uncomfortable while you were wearing it.
