I'll try and recall as much from the con as I possibly can, lol.
The entire weekend was spent doing A LOT of cosplaying, this year I debuted another new costume...I put together a Natalia Kassle (from Danger Girl) costume, that I think came out great! Was really hoping J. Scott Campbell was going to be there again this year so I could premiere it to him in person, but alas he wasn't. Haha. Hopefully he'll still get to see it in person. It was very interesting to see how many people wanted to GUESS what character I was...I got a lot of people thinking I was someone from GI Joe. O.o I don't really know too much about it so I wouldn't know, lol. Here are some photos of the costume!

Was pretty happy about the good responses it DID get from the people who knew right away who I was

Took a lot of work to get it done, and time to find the pieces so glad that everyone enjoyed it!
Saturday at the con when I was getting ready to suit up in the "Blues" the style of the costume that Michael Turner had created, my friend Pete delivered some pretty sad news. That was the day, the moment that I found that Michael Turner had passed on. I was pretty in shock, and the fact that I was standing there in a costume that I had told Pete when I was putting it together, "This is going to be Turner style or nothing at all." was pretty overwhelming. I was fighting back tears, and wasn't sure even what to do...was I supposed to be mournful, was I supposed to push on...what was everyone else going to do? My boyfriend Chasen who is also a big Turner fan (his very inspiration for drawing in the comic style), was also distraught by the news, and Pete (who cosplays as Spidey every year) had said, that we all had fans that were counting on us and that we needed to push on. And I did just that. The Supergirl costume that I wore that day...meant THAT much more to me, and I hoped that it would mean the same for everyone else. I spent alot of the time posing for people in Turner style poses that he liked to draw.

I was going to wear my Black Canary costume on Sunday, but I decided to wear Supergirl for the rest of the weekend to pay homage to a huge inspiration in my life.
On Sunday I got to participate in my first ever panel! It was a last minute addition called Women In Comics, and I got to share the table with very awesome ladies including Jann Jones, and Gail Simone! It was nervewracking but it really was a alot of fun

I will say this during the sad news on that weekend though...I felt very thankful and blessed to have been able to be surrounded by friends who loved Turner as much as I did

So overally the con was fun, and it was great getting to see all my friends that I only get to see once a year

lol, but it was a different feeling con given what happened but I think everyone made the most of it. And P9P had a successful weekend as well, so overall it went good!
One update I'd like to mention is that I got a part in a musical! Its called, "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum", and I am playing one of the courtesans called "The Geminae", so I am VERY excited about that! This will be my first musical. I may also have another short film in the works, including also the filming of Scorpéo Cutlass, the sequel to Scorpéo Jewel.

That about wraps it up though, oh and if anyone is willing to make a donation to help me out with all these CRAZY expenses that have suddenly arisen from my car accident...I'd really really appreciate it, even a dollar would go a long way! There's a Pay Pal donate button on the main page of my My Space.
Next stop for me is Dragon Con

Thanks again,
Take Care
